Martial Arts For The Whole Family

Train with your kids. Train with your spouse. Build a family habit that lasts.

Families that train together build connections that nothing else replicates. Shared experience. Common vocabulary. Mutual respect. The values learned on the mat travel home with the family.

Fight Ready offers programs for every member of the family. Kids ages 5 and up. Teens 13 and up. Adults of every age. Most families train two or three nights per week, often back to back so the whole family is at the gym at the same time.

Why Families Train At Fight Ready

Shared Experience

Kids learn what they see, not what they are told. A parent who trains martial arts shows the kid that consistency, hard work, and respect for coaches are part of life. The lesson lands harder than any lecture.

Quality Time

Driving to and from the gym becomes family time. Conversations about training fill the dinner table. Watching each other progress builds connection.

Family Health

Active families are healthier families. Martial arts is one of the few activities that can engage every age group. Five-year-olds and fifty-year-olds train at the same gym.

Real Skills

Kids who train martial arts learn confidence, discipline, and self defense. Teens build character. Adults stay fit and learn skills. The whole family benefits in different but complementary ways.

How Family Training Works

Stacked Schedules

Classes are often stacked so families can train back to back. A parent can do a 6 PM class while their kid is in the 6 PM kids class. Or vice versa. One trip to the gym. Multiple family members training.

Family Memberships

Multiple family members on one membership reduces the per-person cost. Most family memberships pay for themselves within two months compared to individual memberships.

Free Intro Classes

Every family member gets a free intro class. Bring everyone in to try. No pressure to enroll the whole family at once.

Schedule Flexibility

Morning, midday, evening, and weekend classes. Most families can find a schedule that works without rearranging their lives.

From the very first class, the coaches made it fun, energetic, and super welcoming. My children come out of every session sweaty, smiling, and more confident than ever. They’ve built real skills, better focus, and tons of discipline, all while having a blast. The atmosphere is positive and family-friendly, with instructors who clearly care about the kids’ growth both on and off the mat.

If you’re looking for kickboxing that actually engages your children and delivers results, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Coach Bobby is the best you can get. My girls love going to his classes—they actually cheer when I tell them it’s kickboxing day! They’re little, but Coach Bobby makes it fun while still helping them learn and build skills. I highly recommend his classes.

Family Stories

We have families at Fight Ready where the parents, kids, and teens all train consistently. We have parents who started after watching their kids train for six months. We have kids who got their parents into martial arts. Every family path looks different. They all end up at the gym together.

Building A Family Training Routine

Start With One Member

Most families start with one person. A parent who wants to get in shape. A kid who watched UFC and got curious. A teen who needs a healthier outlet. Whoever starts, the rest of the family often follows within a few months.

Add Members Gradually

Once one family member has built the habit, others see the changes. The fitness. The confidence. The way training shows up in the rest of their life. This often inspires other family members to try a class.

Use Family Time at the Gym

The 20-minute drive to and from the gym becomes connection time. Talking about technique, swapping wins from class, debriefing rough sessions. Families build communication patterns at the gym that strengthen everywhere else.

Celebrate Promotions Together

BJJ belt promotions. Kids stripes. Adult achievements. When the whole family trains, these moments become family moments. Many of our most consistent training families have multiple members earning belts and ranks together.

Family Training Values

Training together teaches kids that fitness is a family value, not a chore. It teaches teens that hard work and discipline are how parents and adults actually live, not just talk about. It gives adults a healthy outlet and a way to model commitment for the kids watching.

Most importantly, family training builds shared experience. The conversations, the wins, the failures, the inside jokes from training, all of it becomes part of the family identity. Years from now, the kids will remember training with their parents.
