Martial Arts For Military And First Responders

Real training for the people who need it most. Discounts available. Free intro class.

Fight Ready respects and supports the military and first responder communities. Many of our members serve in active duty, law enforcement, fire, EMS, or as veterans. The skills built in our gym translate directly to the demands of these careers.

This page is for service members, first responders, and veterans considering martial arts. Whether you want defensive tactics that work, fitness that holds up under load, or simply a community of like-minded people, Fight Ready has a place for you.

Why Service Members Train At Fight Ready

Skills that Apply On The Job

BJJ is the foundation of most modern law enforcement defensive tactics. Wrestling and clinch work apply directly to scenarios where physical contact is unavoidable. Boxing builds the hand technique needed for striking when warranted. These skills are real.

Conditioning Under Stress

Martial arts builds the ability to perform physically while thinking clearly under stress. This is exactly the skill set first responders need. Many officers report better performance on the job after consistent training.

Mental Decompression

First responders and active military carry significant stress. Martial arts is one of the most effective tools for managing that stress in a healthy way. Many veterans describe training as their best therapy.

Real Community

Service members often have a hard time finding civilian communities that understand the work. The training community at Fight Ready includes peers, fellow veterans, and people who get the schedule, the stress, and the lifestyle.

For deployed military or those frequently traveling, talk to us about flexible membership terms. We have worked with members who deploy for months at a time and need to pause or modify their membership.

From the very first class, the coaches made it fun, energetic, and super welcoming. My children come out of every session sweaty, smiling, and more confident than ever. They’ve built real skills, better focus, and tons of discipline, all while having a blast. The atmosphere is positive and family-friendly, with instructors who clearly care about the kids’ growth both on and off the mat.

If you’re looking for kickboxing that actually engages your children and delivers results, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Coach Bobby is the best you can get. My girls love going to his classes—they actually cheer when I tell them it’s kickboxing day! They’re little, but Coach Bobby makes it fun while still helping them learn and build skills. I highly recommend his classes.
